"The world aint all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and it doesn't care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward...how much you can take and keep moving forward. THAT'S HOW WINNING IS DONE!! If you know how much your worth then go get what your worth, but you have to be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you aint where you want to be because of him, her, or anybody. 9/23 trades

+15 Ticks

I didnt trade yesterday on 9-22.  The market sold off big over night.  I usually don't trade well  on those days. There is little opportunity to fight so i stand aside.
I wore myself out in the morning session and was done trading by lunch. I have to keep reminding myself Im fighting to win not fighting to not lose or break even.  Maybe thats why ive sturugled with new equity highs.  Break even feels good after a drawdown and my mind responds differently after the fight to get back than it does when I'm down.  I'm fighting when I'm down like I have nothing to lose but comfortable when I'm up. Only winner is the broker. Ill have to dig in the mental side and open YTC vol 5  ;)

9-21 trades

                                                                         +3pts
Change of pace and took a trade on the ES. I was done trading after my one trade. Things got sloppy and I wasn't going to watch it since i was only trading the morning session with it being FOMC day  BTW  operation twist??? wtf  kind of name is that.

9-19 trades

+22 ticks
I think i had a good read on the market but timing the price action was tricky.  Todays plan was to have patience and see which side was going to fail. and work the other side.... um wait isn't that the plan everyday..  Anyway with a big gap down it almost seems crazy to be long all day but thats the read I got.   I had to fight all day trading punches with the market.  I was able to hit back a little harder enough to come out ahead.  Tomorrows another day and another match.

9- 13 trades

flat
I struggled all day sizing up the support and resistance zones which had be chasing my tail most of the day.  I had to dig myself out of a small hole if got myself in.  I made a trading error which cost me as I went to put in a limit entered a wrong price and took a larger stop loss than planned. Even with a correct entry entered a stop out was going to happen.  The trend began to change and I saw it and went long  knowing short covering would fuel prices higher.  That was pretty much it for me for execution.  I had a really hard time locating levels of trader decision.  A trader is only as good as his levels.

9-7 prep post

Here is todays prep i did on the ES 9-7.  For some reason I feel to mark up the ES it kind of leads the way most of the time. I didn't have any trades today as I didn't have any planned trades set up.  This market just grinded  up running any shorts entries  over who stepped in its way trying to call a top. Now I'm not saying you couldn't scalp a short or 2.  I'm sure somebody somewhere did it.

So lets see how I did

My prep called for a pull back in the market before heading higher but the market had other ideas as it moved higher being fulled by shorts getting stopped out trying to call a top.  Of course if they short and it works the trader will feel great about the day as the reward potential is great, but the market will keep us humbled.

The price action has been interesting over the past few weeks.  Large gap ups or gap downs create large swings.  This is great if you on board for the ride but if you missed it you have to wait for the right timing and patients is key.  The market has a funny way to make you pay for chasing price

9-2 trades

-10
I had a TF trade i took and got ran over for -60 but recovered on the NQ as I couldnt get in on a set up on the TF.  a mix of chopping price action (imo ) and sloppy trading left me down on the week.

9-1 trades

                                                                              -250
started out ok waiting for a read but it fell apart late in the day where I just couldnt get on the right side.  I tried to scalp some longs hoping to get a bounce off support but got no lift. i spent a few days looking over this mess trying to figure out if my analysis was just wrong or did I get sloppy forcing set ups.....maybe both?

8-31 trades

still working for the broker.  made my mistakes for the day. Trade and learn.  Only one thing worse that getting direction right and missing the move. Whats worse is getting direction right and still ending down

8-30 TRADES

                                                                +50

today i worked for the broker and made them proud.  I had a good read on the market all day but 9 trades of watching price go without me tells me my timing was off.  I got frustrated at times....um wait i was frustrated most of the day ;)  A couple of bad entries also warned me of emotions where not in check at times.  I missed the big runs so I was left scalping my brains out.  That trading.

NQ 8-26

+165
strong NQ price action today.  I had to good trades today but there was a flag on the play for the first one.  I had my dom in sim mode which is more like a safety switch on a gun.  You locate target, cock the gun, point and aim then pull the trigger but only to realize the safety is still on. So thats how it felt on the first trade this morning.  Of course this would never happen on a losing trade only on the winners  ;)

Making sure I dont get too caught up in the moment but I did feel this week I moved forward in my trading journey.  I'm starting to execute mores trade (sometimes too many) but i proved to myself i can trade better when I trading and not hiding under a rock.  Wednesday was a tough day and I was down at that point about $350.  Thats a big weekly loss for me but I stepped up and fought back to positive territory this week.  This is good for my confidence which has lacked for so long.  I heard something early this week that helped me push forward. A quote from the movie Rocky 6

"It  ain't about how hard you hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving  forward...how much you can take and keep moving forward.  THAT'S HOW WINNING IS DONE!!  If you know how much your worth then go get what your worth, but you have to be willing to take the hits". Rocky 6

damn 11 trades  that sets a record.  I gave it my all today fighting fighting kicking scratching clawing my way back to green.  i tried to let one run but gave up all the open equity.  i look at the OE and was up about 25 ticks and tried to hold it for he bigger target.  kept telling myself im tired of playng for breakeven.  i know where price is going... just not sure how it will get there.  anyway need some rest after todays fight ill be back tomorrow

8-23 trades

                                                     +130

up is up but in this case I messed up some exits.  Funny when your down your mind falls into a kicking scratching mode.  After a day of whipsaws the mind wires itself as if thats how it always will be. I  need to learn to fight those emotions in order to win.

8-18 trades

                                                                       +35
scratch day which wasn't a bad out come due to the fact that Im long all day while the market is selling off.  Not that having long set ups are bad. Its really the fact that I didnt engage in any trade with major bias which has me concerned for this session.  Well that was my first thoughts and then my other thoughts were the DOW is down 500 at the open and the NQ ES has traded down to a key level of support..  good place for a marco correction to come in? over night sellers will be covering some here? Any shorts trades just felt late.

8-17 TRADES

                                                                          + 85

read was good but timing was off some trades.  had a good short entry but the market offered  a lot more than I took.  it was a planed exit so Im good i took what I did.  I had a read that the market structure was calling for a strong sell off after failed break out this morning. This is the marco read and of course trading it on the micro is a different story.  The first trade of the day i didnt let it get to me to much. I got over it quick. Its great the kids are at school and I can yell at the screen whenever I need to and as loud as I want. ;)

8-16 trades

                                                                          +115
i had a positive p&l most of the day I pressed my skills only to give some back which led me to fight up to the final minute.  i had a few trades i couldnt get in  and they were premium entries too.  Good read on the market until news broke about Euro France drama.  I wasn't real clear on what the news meant and if it was major or not so I missed some short side trading.  Wednesday could be a light trading day.  Kids start school one has a broken arm from football practice last night which we were at the ER late last night and the other is starting to get a cold and it her first day of kindergarden.  New dishwasher comes today.

8-15 THE GRIND

                                                                                    -135
Change of pace as the markets traded slow.  Typical results for me on a day like this whipsaws and over managed trades.
