"The world aint all sunshine and rainbows. It's a very mean and nasty place and it doesn't care how tough you are, it will beat you to your knees and keep you there permanently if you let it. You, me, or nobody is gonna hit as hard as life. But it ain't about how hard you hit, it's about how hard you can get hit and keep moving forward...how much you can take and keep moving forward. THAT'S HOW WINNING IS DONE!! If you know how much your worth then go get what your worth, but you have to be willing to take the hits, and not pointing fingers saying you aint where you want to be because of him, her, or anybody. Cowards do that and that aint you. You're better than that". Rocky 6

9-29 trades

-28 ticks (7 ES pts)
Just when the fight was looking good I took an upper cut then a right and left hook to the head..
My battle of new equity highs continues as I cant seem to move up.  This was one of my biggest intra day hits.  Its hard to take in.
The market is  moving in big swings.  I seem to be having a hard time
picking the right areas to trade off. I"m sure somebody is making some serious cash with these moves.

As Rocky says "you go to be willing take the hits"

9/23 trades

+15 Ticks

I didnt trade yesterday on 9-22.  The market sold off big over night.  I usually don't trade well  on those days. There is little opportunity to fight so i stand aside.
I wore myself out in the morning session and was done trading by lunch. I have to keep reminding myself Im fighting to win not fighting to not lose or break even.  Maybe thats why ive sturugled with new equity highs.  Break even feels good after a drawdown and my mind responds differently after the fight to get back than it does when I'm down.  I'm fighting when I'm down like I have nothing to lose but comfortable when I'm up. Only winner is the broker. Ill have to dig in the mental side and open YTC vol 5  ;)

Change of pace and took a trade on the ES. I was done trading after my one trade. Things got sloppy and I wasn't going to watch it since i was only trading the morning session with it being FOMC day  BTW  operation twist??? wtf  kind of name is that.

9-19 trades

+22 ticks
I think i had a good read on the market but timing the price action was tricky.  Todays plan was to have patience and see which side was going to fail. and work the other side.... um wait isn't that the plan everyday..  Anyway with a big gap down it almost seems crazy to be long all day but thats the read I got.   I had to fight all day trading punches with the market.  I was able to hit back a little harder enough to come out ahead.  Tomorrows another day and another match.

9- 13 trades

flat
I struggled all day sizing up the support and resistance zones which had be chasing my tail most of the day.  I had to dig myself out of a small hole if got myself in.  I made a trading error which cost me as I went to put in a limit entered a wrong price and took a larger stop loss than planned. Even with a correct entry entered a stop out was going to happen.  The trend began to change and I saw it and went long  knowing short covering would fuel prices higher.  That was pretty much it for me for execution.  I had a really hard time locating levels of trader decision.  A trader is only as good as his levels.

9-7 prep post

Here is todays prep i did on the ES 9-7.  For some reason I feel to mark up the ES it kind of leads the way most of the time. I didn't have any trades today as I didn't have any planned trades set up.  This market just grinded  up running any shorts entries  over who stepped in its way trying to call a top. Now I'm not saying you couldn't scalp a short or 2.  I'm sure somebody somewhere did it.

So lets see how I did

My prep called for a pull back in the market before heading higher but the market had other ideas as it moved higher being fulled by shorts getting stopped out trying to call a top.  Of course if they short and it works the trader will feel great about the day as the reward potential is great, but the market will keep us humbled.

The price action has been interesting over the past few weeks.  Large gap ups or gap downs create large swings.  This is great if you on board for the ride but if you missed it you have to wait for the right timing and patients is key.  The market has a funny way to make you pay for chasing price

9-2 trades

-10
I had a TF trade i took and got ran over for -60 but recovered on the NQ as I couldnt get in on a set up on the TF.  a mix of chopping price action (imo ) and sloppy trading left me down on the week.

9-1 trades

                                                                              -250
started out ok waiting for a read but it fell apart late in the day where I just couldnt get on the right side.  I tried to scalp some longs hoping to get a bounce off support but got no lift. i spent a few days looking over this mess trying to figure out if my analysis was just wrong or did I get sloppy forcing set ups.....maybe both?
